I have had it with stupid Astro!
These are the reasons why I hate Astro so much…
1. Reruns, reruns and more reruns! Heck, if I want to watch old movies, I don’t have to blardy hell pay you RM130++ to do that. We have TV1,2,3 NTV7 and 8TV for that!
2. So darn blardy expensive! For the bunch of crap you line up in the programme, I am expected to pay RM130++?!?!?!
3. What’s the deal with the Astro magazine thing? We have to fill in a blardy questionnaire just to get that stupid magazine which is pretty much useless?
4. Woi! I thought you using satellite and all that high techie stuff but everytime it gets cloudy, we get NO SERVICE!
5. You changed the smart stupid card for what? Now the service is even worst! In the middle of a movie, the whole screen goes blank for a few seconds and this happen every few hours. Shissh…new card brings more problems.
6. I know you need advertisements to survive but IT IS TOO MUCH to be running your own advertisements in practically ALL the movies! If I feel like watching a movie being interrupted by a gadzillion of advertisements in between, I will just watch TV1, TV2, TV3, NTV7 and 8TV. I do not need to pay you to watch all that advertisements.
WTF. Astro, just because you are the only satellite paid TV around doesn’t mean you can be such a lousy service provider. If not for my son, who happens to like Barney, Spongebob and the rest of the cartoon characters found in CTWK, DISN and NICK, I would have canceled your stupid service long ago.
I would be better off buying DVDs and CDs to watch! No interruptions and no advertisements!

Yes! Astro really sucks. Bad service is an understatement really.
After inserting the new smart card, some of my favorite news & documentary programs eg CCTV9, BBC, AlJazeera, CNBC, Discovery, National Geography, etc which I have been enjoying before the introduction of the new card disappear from the screen for most of the day and night. I could only view these hijacked programs in the early hours of the morning from 5am to 8am.
When I complain to Astro customer service, I get the standard answer that either the decoder is faulty or the receiver dish is not receiving the full satellite signal. If I need to fix the problem I will have to pay the technician RM50.00 for the service, and this amount does not include cost of replacement parts if the decoder or the satellite dish is damaged.
If that is so how come I can still view the hijacked programs clearly at dawn?
I am seriously thinking of terminating Astro service. With so many free channels to watch in the TV nowadays, who needs Astro anyway?

Same here. I am seriously thinking about termination the service as well after the series we’re watching end. Had problems when we relocated and tried to move our astro here. They offer you free moving but they are very slow at responding even when you give them supposedly more than enough time for the notice. And even trying to call their customer service is a pain in the ass, the long wait and suddenly you get cut off mid way, that is if you get connected at all.
And they also hire some bitches as customer service representatives which annoy you more.
Same here, and you know what I just called them and cancelled my account. Called them for the past 6 days and none of the tech came and gave us a calls.
I cancelled my astro account a year ago. Very frustrated with their service. Never receive my Astro magazine but the bill can reach me promptly. Then, the Astro service here can never help me. They either push the problem to KL Astro or the KL Astro pushes it back to Kuching. They think I am so rich. Keep calling KL from Kuching. I scolded them on this issue and you guys know how the bitch replies, “Well… you can always use your office’s phone to call us!” Chi Sing… Terminate my account immediately.
Frustrated, AstroSCK and Choonie: I hope Astro people sees this post and the comments to realise how bad their service are!

I was watching Astro 2 weeks ago when suddenly the whole TV went blank. Can’t even get anything on the decoder, called Astro and they need to send someone to check on it with $50 fee, not incl of repair/replacement. So I just said, fine, pls cancel my account now :D
Save money save breath, sleep earlier better health hehe.. Not that we can’t afford the repair/replacement fee, just felt it is stupid, since we are paying for the monthly fees, Astro at least shud provide a working decoder..
As a football-maniac-fan I’m for one very frust at times when the match enters into climax and when both teams are showing off their nifty skills and dazzle…. (OK for non-footie fan, its when things get shiok la!!!) Astro terputus its service says “No Service”, OMG can you people understand when you are watchin your fav drama/movie all the sudden it went blank for like 10mins or just da most important part is blank out!!! And that is not the matches where my fav team plau jz a general football team, imagine my level of angerness if its my fav team…
Next case is even worse, I’m following a korean drama called “Emperor of the Sea” and it was somewhere in CNY 09 where all the sudden the clever ppl in Astro decide 2move its program into sum other time slot w/o proper info in its program/internet telling us da VIP customer bout it. Then i liase wit the customer service bout this, guess what? Da manager says he’ll call me back after sum meeting/checking/etc/blahhhhhh and now already about FOUR MONTHS not only did i not received any call/sms/e-mail/snail mail from them! Wonder what S.O.Ps are this Astro (so called MNC huh) use in handling customer complain. Oh ya Foong u work in Astro? Help me la… I wanna rereun of that program where i was half-way watchin…. Poor me lost in no-where and I’m learning basic korean from it though
