A Dummies Guide to Reading Blogs

There are more than 2 million blogs in the World Wide Web and growing by the seconds. So, this means there are millions of bloggers and due to that, many millions of blog readers. However, many blog readers do not know how to read blogs. Sure, they know how to go into blogs and read the blog posts but they do not know how to do it.

So, as a service to blog readers and bloggers, I decided to come up with a simple ‘A Dummies Guide to Reading Blogs’ for the dummies readers who are new, uninformed, blur, ignorant or a few posts short of a blog. To make sure that this short and simple guide is easily understood, I have listed it out in point forms:

1. Read blogs with an open mind

2. Read blogs for fun and nothing else

3. Blogs are designed in such a way that if you don’t like it, you can always click on the X at the top right corner of your browser and not see it again.

4. Blogs are designed in such a way that you do not have to return to it again and again eventhough you do not like it. Nobody is pointing a gun to your head to go back to it.

5. Blogs are written by bloggers who may or may not be normal humans who could not care less what you think of them.

5. Blogs are there because the bloggers want to express their own views, not their neighbours’ views, not their friends’ views, not their families’ views and most certainly not your views.

6. Blogs are designed in such a way that bloggers have the ultimate control of their own blogs.

7. Commenting in blogs is optional so do not comment if you don’t have anything intelligent to say.

8. Blogs are private properties of the bloggers and readers are merely visitors, remember that and you will not go wrong.

9. Blogs are designed in such a way that the bloggers are always right and whoever disagrees, can go start their own blogs.

10. If you still do not know how to read blogs, it is time you stop reading blogs because obviously, you are not meant to read blogs.

So, there. I hope this have enlightened some blog readers who do not know how to read blogs and how to react to blogs.
