Foong dreams of O’Trafford, Old Trafford

Have you heard of the top secret project Trafford by Nuffnang?

Well, the cat is already out of the bag and it’s not a secret project anymore. It is a mission to create the most foolproof plan (especially for Nuffnangers) to grab the 30 free tickets to watch a match at Old Trafford by winning the Mister Potato contest. Or simply to put the limelight on Mister Potato and its generosity in giving away these 30 tickets to Old Trafford in its upcoming contest for all chip lovers.

Not any chip lovers, mind you, only Mister Potato chip lovers, please.

Now, before taking up the challenge of becoming one of the bloggers in this project, I have never heard of Old Trafford. Sad and shocking, but true. I am football illiterate, I admit it. So, as I normally do for some of the ‘more serious’ topics I blog about, I did some digging and found out some facts about Old Trafford.

  • Its nickname is Theatre of Dreams ahhh….yes, the dreams of sportsmen and sports lovers…
  • It’s an all-seater stadium no standing up here!
  • It is located at Trafford, Greater Manchester, England duh…obviously
  • It is the home of Manchested United F.C. ok, ok, you people can start throwing used paper cups and popcorn at me (but no rotten eggs please, I just washed my hair) for not knowing Old Trafford when it is the home of ManU!
  • It has the capacity of over 76,000 hey, so the lucky 30 to win the tickets will be sitting amongst 75,970 others there.
  • It was built in 1909 wow, that explains the ‘old’ in Old Trafford (however, that’s not why the stadium is called Old Trafford, the location itself is called Old Trafford)
  • It was not only meant for football the stadium was used by American soldiers for baseball during WW1 and concerts were also performed there by Bon Jovi, Genesis, Bruce Springsteen, etc

Okay, Old Trafford trivia time over.

So what is the deal with the not-so-secret-anymore project Trafford over at Nuffnang? It’s a project involving 40 specially selected bloggers – of whom, I am one of them, ahem – and the 40 are divided into 8 groups of 5 bloggers. Each team will have leaders to show the bloggers the way and make sure they do not stray…from gorging on Mister Potato and dreaming of Old Trafford…

Each team will work together to come up with ideas and plans collectively to spread the good word about Mister Potato’s contest and dangle the grand prize of 30 tickets to Old Trafford to all and sundry (at least through our blogs) or to create a devious scheme to win the tickets to ourselves…muahahahaha…
