Mister Potato costs me RM102!!

As you already know, I am part of this top secret Project Trafford by Nuffnang where we have to promote the Mister Potato Old Trafford Contest. As part of our gameplan for the project, we have to go buy Mister Potato chips so after work on Tuesday, I head on over to Tesco to stock up on Mister Potato.

Upon entering, we spotted the promotional area and then remembered we are out of toothpaste. So we took two, one for us and one for the inlaws (cheap ma). Moving along, I spotted work slacks for only RM13.90, a real steal. I found my size, tried it and in it goes into the trolley. Then I remembered I am running low on some toiletries; e.g. face wash, cotton buds, etc. So I added those to the growing pile in the trolley.

Then, we remembered my son’s milk powder was running low so we put that in also. Luckily there was no cheap promotion for his brand of diapers so we skipped that. As we neared the food section, I remembered we are out of onions, garlic and ginger. So went and selected and put it into the trolley.

Other food items such as fresh milk (the cold ones in cartons, not the powder kind), dried apricots, etc followed suit. By now, the trolley is already quite full and we have not even got to the junk food section where Mister Potato is.

So, we went straight to the Mister Potato section and chose two types, Tomato flavour in a pouch and original flavour in the tin. While at that section, a big packet of groundnuts somehow found its way into the trolley.

Now, worried that we may pile more items into the trolley, we head on straight to the cashier. The total bill is RM102 and some cents.

See?

We initially went there just to buy Mister Potato but we ended up buying a load of other stuffs and spending RM102!

And then, I found out I got the wrong flavour. Supposed to be limited edition of some other flavour. Crap. This means another trip to the supermarket for Mister Potato.

Hmmmm…luckily Nuffnang is paying me for this project or else, sure bankrupt la. I just hope I won’t end up spending another RM100 with my second trip….

I was in Singapore a few months ago and my friend took me to this supermarket and lo & behold they were selling potato chips with all different kinds of flavours.

Got Roast Duck flavour, got sweet chilli flavour, got Thai Toong Yum flavour, got sour cream & chive flovour….wah….and many others I cannot remember. I have never seen so many flavours besides the usual BBQ, Vinegar, chicken, etc…
