There is seriously something wrong with our security and legal system.
It seems that police and FRU personnel are above the law. They can abuse their power to beat people up, to shoot people at will, to detain people for no reason and to ask for rasuah without actions being taken against them.
And now, it seemed that it is alright for 20 FRU personnel to take the law in their own hands to beat up a 23-year-old mechanic Chang Jiun Haur during the BMC fracas last month but to add salt to wound, they are hauling Chang Jiun Haur to the court for reckless driving.
According to Malaysiakini:
Mechanic Chang Jiun Haur, 23, who was brutally assaulted by riot police at the disputed Bandar Mahkota Cheras barricade last month, will be charged for reckless driving during the incident.
MCPXAccording to his lawyer Gan Ping Sieu, Chang is expected to be charged under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987 this afternoon at the Kajang Magistrates’ Court.
If found guilty, he could be fined up to RM6,000 and/or jailed up to two years.
“My client has told me that he will plead not guilty and we will try to obtain bail,” said Gan when contacted today.
The police are alleging that this boy had tried to run them down with his car. So, it is perfectly alright for them to drag him out of the car and beat him to a pulp. And then arrest him and his passengers for attempting to harm the FRU personnel. And now, to haul him to court and charge him for reckless driving.
So, now, the police and FRU are officially immune to the law. They can beat people up whenever they like and not face any actions. The Penal Code with a section on physical assault only applies to commoners but FRU and police are exempted. Why else were the FRU let off scot-free while this poor boy was brought to court for something that may or may not have transpired?
For all we know, the FRU may have concocted the part about him trying to knock them down so that they have a ‘valid’ excuse for beating him up. Not that there is any ‘valid’ excuse for beating anyone up. I mean, if the FRU can do it, does it mean I can go around beating people up just because they are ‘trying to harm me’?
Based on this theory, can I go up to the PM and beat him up because he was ‘trying to harm’ me by increasing the petrol price? Escalating costs and not enough money to spend for food and essential terms is ‘causing harm’ to my life.
Also, based on this theory, can I go up to all the idiotic politicians who opened their big mouth to spout nonsense and give them a good whallop that they deserve? They are attempting to ’cause harm’ to my well being with their nonsensical policies and proposals.
I guess I am also justified to whallop the cop who likes to hide behind shady trees near road junctions who jump out at you and demand to ‘settle’ for some unknown traffic offense.
While I am at it, can I hit the irritating biotch who is a former colleague but who is now making life miserable to my friends who are now suffering under her ‘reign’? She tried to ‘harm’ me with a lot of stress when I was her subordinate.
Can I hit my irritating MIL/FIL for making my life miserable with their annoying demands? They tried to harm me by causing me undue stress, emotional distress and days of heartache.
So, can I hit at the former chief minister for bringing Penang to the way it is today, full of congestions, UNsustainable developments, indiscriminate hill cuttings, etc… He is causing me harm, not merely trying, with all these traffic congestion, pollution, etc.
So, can I? Can I? Can I?
After all, if it is alright for 20 FRU personnel armed with batons to beat up ONE unarmed man because of this perceived notion that he had ‘tried to run some of them down’ with his car, then this means that anyone who thinks someone is trying to hurt or harm them have the right to do the same.
Just saying.

Can, can. You can definitely go and beat them up. Don’t worry if you kena locked up I will bake you a chocolate cake with a small saw hidden inside.
If you saw the iron bar a little bit each night you should be out in less than a couple of years :)
Malaysia where got law? This Altantuya trial is going around in a circle. Even a fool like me can tell there is some big wig behind telling the judge and the prosecutor to keep delaying the trial until someone makes a decision on what the verdict will be.
you are not making any sense. they might be wrong but uhh.. beating someone up for raising petrol price?
i think you need some pretty serious anger management
ting tit leis last blog post..Whack Only
