It took America 200 years to finally break through the racial barriers for the country to have a black president-elect (read the full news over at Malaysiakini).

So, how long do you think it will be before Malaysia goes towards this direction?
Methinks it will be a looooooonnnnnnnnnggggggg time yet from the way things are going nowadays. When the mentality of our stupid leaders are still stuck to ‘me brown, you yellow / black so I RULE’ idealogy, we will forever have the same old, same old political situation for a long time to come.
So, if you are hoping for dreams to come true right here in Bodohland…think again. You will never EVER get to hear this speech:
If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

Well, at least not for several centuries more.
After all, it took America 200 years before they come to this stage. It showed progress and it showed that skin colour does not matter although all news agencies WILL point out that he is black.
Meanwhile our ever brilliant politicians are too busy squabbling over non-issues like stupid roadsigns and other idiots going to court over it. Will they just all shaddap already? It is getting pretty annoying.
If a simple thing such as the language of road signs could be blown so out of proportions as if a single road sign holds the key to the earth’s destruction, what more when it comes to politics and the country’s leadership.
It may be a good sign for US now but will Obama perform as he promised? We won’t know till later. However, if you are all that excited about him being the US president, go on over to Malaysiakini to read his full speech.

Right now we have irresponsible people
Politicians and academicians harp the wrong issues
Always for their race nothing about multi-racial
It is time they relook themselves
Is Malaysia a multi-racial multi-religious country?
Honestly give the answer
The road of recovery will be easy
For the country progresses
We must think as one people one nation
