Whenever you feel depressed or really down, there are ways to give you a lift. For me, bliss and happiness is…
Having friends who would hang upside down to cheer me up
Or
Being able to enjoy sunsets by the beach
Or
Having the ability to enjoy the beauty of nature, including some hairy red flowers
Or
Eating some comfort food in the form of rich chocolate brownies with ice cream

Or
Curling up on the sofa with a really good book
(as you can see…my reading list varies from trashy romances to fantasy to thrillers to cooking to web design…which explains why this blog is filled with a weird variation of posts)
Or
Taking a walk in a park while enjoying the play of shadows of the sun-dappled ground
Or even
Watching the sweet and peaceful slumber of a toddler
Or listening to some of my favourite Christmas songs (I know, I know, I am not Christian but who says I can’t enjoy christmas songs because I’m not christian,eh?)
All these and much much more made me realise how fortunate I am that I have good friends who are always there for me, I have good eyesight to enjoy sunsets and red hairy flowers, I have ears able to listen to songs, I am educated enough to be able to read, I am able to cook my own favourite desserts anytime, I have a monthly income to pay for the books and household bills and lastly, I am fortunate to have such a wonderful family.
There is no secret to happiness and bliss. It is all within our grasp, if only we choose to see it instead of focusing on what we don’t have, what we are missing out or even on the shitful shenanigans our country’s politicians are getting up to. Yep, we should just turn inwards and grab happiness that we all have and push the unpleasantness aside…

It’s not the Christmas songs that turns you into a softie, it’s that inside, you are basically a good person, full of happiness and joy! : )
