The year 2008 has been an eventful year full of interesting political changes and also full of stupid announcements by brainless idiots. Some things have changed and Penang has once again become an Opposition-led state.
Still, there are some things which did not change.
Some people still remain steadfastly stubborn.
Some remain sleepy and stupid.
Some are still morons.
Some are still liars.
Some are merely clueless and will continue to be so.
Some still continue to corruptly drain our country’s resources for their own coffers and still think they ‘earned’ every single cent.
Some still think skin colour matters the most.
Some still have stupidity to think of quarantine for HIV people when it is prevention through education that will be more effective.
Some still think using religious laws can win them votes.
Some parties don’t belong together and yet they stick together for political reasons and now there are cracks the size of the Grand Canyon but still they refuse to see or admit it.
Some parties should have left the Bodoh Numbskulls but still stuck to them for piddly reasons like cowardice and lack of principles.
Luckily there’s been some major changes, for good or bad, we won’t know yet. Still, change is always good to bring new perspectives and fresh new looks. Now, we have another year coming and bad tidings have been predicted so far.
There’s going to be an economic slowdown.
Some people may be losing their jobs.
There may be more pay cuts.
We are getting a new prime minister (although I don’t think it makes any difference either way).
The federal government is still wearing their blinkers thinking the economic situation in the country is all rosy and great so we will eventually be suffering more.
Prices of things in hypermarkets may have went down BUT outside, traders continue to raise their prices.
Prices of essential items are still expensive despite all the hype about how it had went down..yeah, right, all those of you who thinks essential items are cheap, please raise your hand…
It’s going to cost more to send your children to school, to go to work, to even be alive.
There’s going to be more real-life political drama shows (and it’s not even produced by TVB!) from the looks of it.
So, in view of all these bad tidings, here are my resolutions for the year:
I will post less on political dramas
I will read less of time-wasting news on the political stupidity of our moronic politicians
I will post more on boring sarcastic stuffs about life, love, sex, bizarre things, etc
I will bake and cook more and post the recipes up over at The Food Site.
I will try to answer all the comments left in this blog and at The Food Site (although I did not do it on purpose when I didn’t reply to comments..I’m very, very, very lazy busy you know…)
I will work more on my blogging for money goal and achieve my target by the end of 2009.
Also, I will be forever grateful to all my loyal blog followers and readers for putting up with my recent erratic postings, my crappy posts and all my off-centred rantings in all these months.
And also to all those who left nasty comments and threats, thank you for making it more interesting to blog. After all, if a sarcasm blog failed to draw some nasties in, it’s not sarcasm at all, eh?
Finally, to all those clueless people who still could not figured out sarcasm….I am absolutely wordless on what to say to you. I mean, if you can’t get sarcasm, I wonder if you can even read properly…
Happy New Year 2009 Everyone!
