Keeping notes on my earn money online efforts

Some of you may have read about my earn money online efforts quite a while back (about a month ago, I think) and must be wondering what’s the progress like. Well, as in any business, it takes time, my friend. It takes time. To earn money online does not mean instant riches and instant millionaires. Those are promises made by loads of make money online scams so, do steer clear away from such unrealistic promises.

Anyway, I have quite a lot on my plate right now and really need to keep track of what I am doing, what I need to be doing and what I am planning to do. I love working out lists of things to do, it helps keep all this clutter that’s banging around my head more organised. Now you know why I am so fond of those ‘top ten’ lists that I like to come out with.

So, here’s my to-do list in my journey to earn money online so that I could quit my stupid boring office job and be a work at home mom:

1. Crank out at least three to four articles every other day for this blog and my food blog and to submit to hundreds of article sites for links to my (other) niche sites. (I use Unique Article Wizard to do that fast and easy.)

2. Think of topics to write for those articles.

3. Check on my Google adsense on the performance of some of my ads and try NOT to obsess over the low quality clicks I get on my Google adsense.

4. Try NOT to obsess over the organic traffic (or lack thereof) I get on my blogs

5. Try to reply to comments in my blogs

6. Work on link building the conventional way – trading links.

7. Try NOT to waste too much time blog hopping (at least until I have completed my work first).

8. Submit proposals of articles / features for my freelance writing income.

9. Find ways to get around being smart-priced by the G-God. (I know this blog has been smart priced because of the quality of clicks I’ve been getting, sigh…)

10. Keep my goals in mind and in sight and in mind so that I will continue to plod on tirelessly and achieve it one fine day.

And here’s what I’ve been doing the past few months…

1. Setting up more than 10 other niche sites

2. Learning the ropes behind getting those sites indexed and ranked

3. Learning ways to build links to those sites – the conventional and the easy ways

4. Learning how to do research on niche keywords, how to target which keywords for maximum income and how to capitalise on those keywords

5. Learning the nitty-gritty behind setting up my own sites (without any help at all!) and pointing it to my hosting account.

6. Learning how to further streamline those niche sites and turn those into income earners.

7. Learn all about humility and how I have to keep asking and learning in order to know more about this earn money online business.

8. Learn to be patient as it takes more than a few months to see real results especially when my sites are relatively new.

9. Learn NOT to let Google sandbox my niche sites.

10. Learn to pick out which sites that has been smart priced and tweak it to ‘undo’ it.

So, now, I am far from finished and still have a long way to go. I can only hope that by this same month next year, I will be able to realise my goals.

But I am not making any promises, not like a certain CAT government that promised to eradicate poverty by March 8 and then suddenly say they can’t do it due to some reason or other. They should really learn NOT to open their big mouth and give deadlines. Just promise to do it, good enough lar. Dungus. icon rolleyes Keeping notes on my earn money online efforts

Oh, but, I digress. icon mrgreen Keeping notes on my earn money online efforts Heheheh…just needed to get that off my chest. So, I have completed my niche sites and now I am in the link building stage.

Anyone with niche sites out there wanna trade links? I will gladly trade with you. (just send me an email to penangviews AT gmail DOT com)

And if you are one of those who pooh-poohed over trading links saying that it is pointless, then you can continue pooh-poohing, I don’t want to bother arguing with you. Since I have so many sites, I could offer one-way links which is more beneficial compared to two-way links.

Now, anyone? Please?

  • Obsessing over organic traffic has gotten the best of me from time to time…but I gotta remember NOT to put all my eggs in one basket ;-)

BTW: Could explain a bit further what you mean by “smart priced”?

Hey Caleb, sorry for the delay in reply. As it is I am quite, quite behind in my online work… :embarass: Although I have more than 10 niche sites, I still do get so obsessed over the traffic that I had to restrain myself from looking at those stats!
Getting smart priced is when the G-God decides that your site does not bring their adsense customers much value, thus not a good place for their ads. SO, they give you the $0.01 per click ads instead of the high priced ads that are worth $1 and above per click. It’s not easy to get out of it so what I do is that I change my adsense codes with new ones, cross my fingers and hope for the best.
