Time and again the government, or some politician, will make a statement about trying to get overseas Malaysians to come back and contribute to the country’s economy and development. They talk about incentives and nationalism and all that crap. As if those are really great inducement for Malaysians overseas to come back.
Puh-lez. If I am overseas, I also don’t want to come back. Why? And if you mention 1Malaysia, I will kick you.
Here are the simple reasons why most overseas Malaysians, especially the non-Bumis, do not want to come back:
1. Many of them were sent overseas to study using their parents’ hard-earned money and bank loans, not using any ‘special benefits’ from the govt so why should they come back to ‘serve’ the country when they don’t owe the country anything?
2. They get higher salary and were offered high positions based on merits and their abilities and if they build a big huge empire of companies, don’t have to worry about being forced to hand the profits over to other people just because of some racist policy, nepotism and cronyism.
3. The cost of living there is so much more reasonable than here. Average salary of an executive can be $4,000 to $5,000 and only pay $10,000 to $15,000 for a local car and about $80,000 for a house. Here, average salary of an executive can be RM2,000 to RM3,000 but pay RM50,000 for a local car and more than RM100,000 for a tiny flat.
4. Racism is everywhere but only in Malaysia, it is sanctioned and is a policy.
5.Higher education opportunities are only for those who can afford it or those in a certain group while the rest will have to hope they make it in or else, find ways to get bank loans to further their studies since public scholarships are also reserved for certain groups only. While overseas, higher education coupled with good scholarships are available for those who deserve it, not only for a certain group of people.
6. If they have foreign spouses, the spouses will NEVER be given citizenship because they are of the ‘wrong race’ and the spouse will have to be subjected to renewing their social visit pass every year while there are those who can easily get PR because they are of a certain group.
7. If they do well here based on their own abilities and hard work, they are accused of ‘robbing’ a certain group of their privileges but overseas, they can do well based on their own abilities and hard work and nobody will accuse them of anything.
8. They know their tax money is going to the welfare of the people in various schemes and projects there but here, we all know the tax money only end up in some politicians’ pockets.
9. The grass is always greener on the other side, LITERALLY.
10. All the so-called incentives offered for them to come back are a nothing but short-term promises which will not materialise so they are not so stupid to fall for empty words.

Overseas Malaysians
They get paid so well
They get huge benefits
They are treated as equals
They don’t face racial discrimination
All employment opportunities
The best fit takes the job
Skin colour doesn’t interfere
It is talent and experience and education
Most Malaysians working overseas
They enjoy the freedom they think they have
Basically it is money and education
They help the adopted countries prosper
Back home they forget……………..
They find the walls too high
They say they can’t fight
Too many obstacles favouring one race
How to fight and win?
Learn from history
Of how a country progresses
Of how oppressed people engineered
Kick out the fake lords one and all
If they don’t come back
They can’t blame the system and government
For they never participated to make the change
So in overseas they thought they can progress
Back home many suffer in opportunities
But many fight to make it a better place….
we been in bejing operating our business since 2003 , one very reason we never would shift back is that the chinese businessmanin malaysia are still living on cloud 7…many think by having 100 odd workers and driving a 3 year old merc , think they are already there.the lack of continual product development and totally depend on credit…here , it either u have or you do have the orders..we compete on product performance, price get lower and one very obvious , business man meet for business .after all the grand show..where is the order?
we noticed malaysian chinese bizman are real cheapo an dexpect free lunch , worse of all many pretend they are spmebody ..come to the clench of it…most of them are blank shooter.
what you elaborate is absolutely true…
but dont take it literally..its double speak . for most malay ( politicians and not)
the attitude is good riddance….
