If one of your main online income from blogging is to do paid posts, then you will know how miserable the level of income has become. I mean, some of the advertisers are offering $5 for a 300 word post or even a 500 word post. That is beyond ridiculous. That is a total waste of time and waste of link juice too.
Although there are some paid post programmes that Google can’t really detect, still, we all know how Google absolutely detest paid posts. Because it means, you are selling links from your blog. And if Google ever find out that you are actually selling links, your blog will be penalised and your PR will be gone. Shelved. Sandboxed. Worse than zero. And it will take awhile before they reinstate your PR.
So, why risk having your blog penalised for a few bucks? And it is a real waste of time to write 500 word pieces for a mere pittance. Sure, $5 converted into RM may seem a lot but it is not really all that much if you take into account the time you spent writing that piece and the links you are giving that advertiser. Remember, the links will be there for a long, long time (until you removed them).
If doing paid posts to earn an income is not a good idea, so what is? Well, there is the Google Adsense income you can aim for and to do that you need to be able to target high-earning keywords AND get clicks or else whatever you earn is a mere pittance.
Then there is affiliate marketing. That is probably the next best thing to earn income from blogging. You join affiliate programmes and then you sell the products and earn income. Much like being a salesman, except you are doing it through your blog. It is not frowned upon by Google and it does not involve giving out of free links. Instead, the links you have are to for blog readers to click on and buy the product. However, it is also not all that easy to do. Not many readers land on your blog wanting to buy a product or to buy anything at all. In fact, many are just here to get free information before they move on to other places.
So, how do you convince them to buy?
You may need to do a review of the product and be really convincing that it is really a great product that your readers can’t live without. You need to do some hard selling. Really really hard selling. And you need to keep pushing it to make a sale. Also, you need to target the keywords so that visitors searching for that product will land on your page and make a purchase.
Another way of earning online income is to do paid reviews. Sometimes you may get approached by some company to do a review of their product on your blog and they will pay you for it. This only happens if your blog is a high profile one with loads of traffic and the keywords for your blog suits their product. Again, this is not easy to get.
Whatever your way of earning online income, it is always best to diversify and do some of this and that here and there. This way, you can combine all of the income which could amount to quite a lot. If you only depend on one thing, it is likely that in the end, you will not earn enough for it to make much difference.

Earning income from blogging
It isn’t an easy way to create wealth
For the majority of the people……..
It is just another way of wasting time
Somebody makes a lot out of your energy
It is just like selling insurance
The talk is so cheap selling a piece of paper
Out on the streets it is so difficult to convince people
They just don’t want to buy…………
“Nak cari makan pun susah
Lagi nak beli insuran?”
Like selling insurance
Not many make it into high income category
Many fall on the way out……….
Only a few achieve the target
Many fail they aren’t cut out for it
If it is so good to achieve an income
Many will have jump into the wagons
Why work 9 to 5 or graveyard shifts?
Doing work at home enjoying the leisure time
If you are not cut for it
It’s no use wasting time
Look for something that makes sense
For yourself and your choices in life
I agree it’s a complete waste of time doing paid posts! Some more get penalized by Google – not worth it at all!
