Almost two years ago, I started blogging for fun and with the intention to earn some online income. I wanted to earn enough so that I can work from home. But then we now know I am no longer all that keen to work from home while minding the kids…but still, income is income. Money is still money. And of course, I wouldn’t mind earning extra income, heck, even more than my current salary through blogging and my online work. Then maybe, just maybe, I may consider quitting my dead-end job and be my own boss. But that’s still far from being realised…
So, here are some notes to myself to continue with my online work (which I had sorta let slide and abandon when I got pregnant last year):
1. Time to start building links to all of my poor deserted websites…there are about 10 of them..or maybe more. Damn, I really need to check and see how many websites I have. I’ve totally lost count!
2. Time to dig out all the usernames and emails and passwords for my websites and various sites I join as members and organise it in a way so that I won’t ever need to click on ‘forgot your password’.
3. By building links I meant, time to crank out all those articles and posting it in free places like Hubpages, Squidoo, Ezinearticles, etc.
4. Also time for me to start emailing other website owners to exchange links, it’s free, it’s bonafide and it’s Google-friendly!
5. Time to set up more links through other secret white-hat means.
6. Time to update all of my other poor deserted earn money blogs.
7. Time to bid for paid posts more earnestly.
8. Time to set up more food blogs and sign up for Foodbuzz!
9. Time to do something about this blog to get the traffic up and to earn something from this blog too.
10. Time to create and develop a whole new website, create links to it, increase organic traffic to it and start selling my own products as in e-books, etc on it.
11. Which means time I start work on my e-book to sell it.
12. Also time for me to start work on my affiliate sales to earn more income.
So, yep. Looks like I’ve got my work all cut out for me. When will I ever get it done? For the life of me, I don’t know. I will probably slowly work down the list one by one.
And why am I suddenly so keen? Well, I just did some calculations of my online income. Considering how I’ve slowed down in the past year or so…I am earning around USD$100 each month on average. That’s without doing anything much. That’s good, isn’t it? Imagine if I had been hard at work doing all the above in the past year, I will probably be earning three to four times or even ten times that amount now!
Oh well. Health comes first, especially when I was so tired during that pregnancy. Now that I am back to my normal self, or as normal as I can be, it means it is time I start working hard AND smart online again. So, it’s back to the grind!

Ummie: definitely going for more! like they say, there’s no such thing as too much money. lol. Sure, you can learn from me but it involved a lot of work, a lot of time and most of all, determination and will power. But then, USD100 is kinda paltry compared to some of the big-earners out there…
