Well, I personally feel that introducing a death penalty for cases like is the worst ever proposal to resolve this problem. What we have now is more of a social problem rather than a criminal one.   Instead of thinking about punishment, more thought and actions should be put into preventing it AND ensuring that the lives of these babies are spared. It is obvious that these women are spurred by desperation when they dump their illegal babies.

If they introduce a death penalty for this, then more babies will suffer as these women will be even more desperate to hide it and they will probably do worse things to get rid of the babies! So, the main priority here is not to punish but to provide a safe haven for these babies.

Like it or not, people are having sex out of wedlock and single women get pregnant everyday. No matter what law you impose, how much you frown upon it, it still happens. So, no point, sweeping it all under the carpet and pretend that our youngsters are are virginal saints. How else do you think these women end up pregnant and desperate?

What needs to be done now is to set up more centres to counsel and help these women. Obviously, they have nowhere to go so they resort to hiding their pregnancies and dumping the babies. They are desperate and they do not know where to go or what to do. Their babies are innocent. They deserve to live and the priority here is to ensure that these babies live!

Why is there so much objection to establishing hatches for unwanted babies? At the very least these hatches will ensure that babies are not dumped into rubbish bins or left to die. All this just because some stupid idiot thinks that hatches promote promiscuous behaviour. Err…hello, in case you haven’t noticed, unmarried couples are still doing it and getting pregnant out-of-wedlock now even without hatches!

Of course, society is to be blamed for these baby dumping cases too. It is when these desperate women are shunned, ignored and pushed to a corner that they had no where else to go but down the very wrong road of getting rid of their ‘mistake’.

So, lets stop this pointing fingers and condemning of the poor, desperate women. No mother, whether she wanted the baby or not, will resort to killing or abandoning her own flesh and blood if she was not pushed to a corner where she could not think straight at all. Also don’t forget that it takes two to make a baby so don’t just blame the mothers! What about the men? Why were they let off scot-free? Why were they not held responsible?

Sigh. The worse of these incidences is when politicians jump in to give their two cents worth of stupidity. They will blame anything, everything BUT find solutions to prevent and protect these innocent babies?

I don’t know which is more amusing when reading the news nowadays…whether it is the ridiculous excuses some so-called minister makes up for those irresponsible, uncouth cow-head protestors, the lack of police actions against those idiots or the wide-spread papparazzing of poor mega-star Andy Lau who is not even remotely Malaysian, although his wife is.

From the day the wife’s father passed away till now, the Andy Lau saga has commanded quite a lot of newsprint place, especially in the Chinese newspapers. Not that I read the Chinese newspapers, mind you. But seriously, the poor old guy (I’m referring to Carol Chu’s father, not Andy) was on his last journey and instead of him haunting anyone, it was the media haunting his funeral or to be specific, his super famous son-in-law, Andy Lau Tak Wah.

Okay, admittedly, I am a big fan of Andy Lau. I mean, *droolz*, he is darn good looking. He is probably the only Hongkie star I secretly lust after. I know, I know, many younger girls will think I have bad taste when there are supposedly more yummilicious Hong Kong actors around these days. But heck, Andy Lau is my first actor-idol I drool after with a deep school girl crush long ago. It is an obsession hard to forget. Not that I am all that obsessed with him now.

Although I still couldn’t resist clicking on any news with his name on it.

But I am NOT obsessed, I tell you.

Damn. I AM married with another kid on the way so I definitely do NOT have a schoolgirl crush on Andy Lau.

Okay, fine. I still drool after Andy Lau although it is only in the fantasy, schoolgirl crush sorta way, like I drool over the Winchester brothers in Supernatural. At the very least, I have seen Andy Lau in person in concert donkey years ago when he had the one and only concert in Penang.

But I digress.

I was about to write about how the media are literally haunting him and his wife right up to their conceiving a child. Fine. So, I am one of the readers that spurred the media on to act in such a way but heck, the couple do deserve some privacy, don’t they? I mean, it is one thing to report the good news of the wife being pregnant but to go into details of how they got pregnant?

I mean it is almost like reporting what position they liked most when having sex. The fact that they chose artificial insemination does not mean it should be made public right? Come on. Do give them some privacy. It is no wonder that the poor wife was kept hidden all these years and Andy never admitted to their relationship. I can just imagine what a field day the media would have if they announced their relationship years ago.

Obsessed fans will go crazy, me excluded because seriously, as much as I fantasize about Andy Lau when I was a teen, I know for a fact it is an impossible dream of ever marrying him so he do deserve to find a good partner and settle down. And who he chose to marry is none of our business, isn’t it? There’s only one of him and millions of fans. And it is because he worries about what the obsessed fans will do that they decided to keep it under wraps.

And my sympathy really do go all out to Carol. Poor woman. Imagine being hidden and kept like some mistress for all these years. They can’t even go out in public together. It is a good thing that Andy finally married her last year, although I think he should have done it years ago.

Whatever it is, much as I drool over Andy Lau, I do wish them the best and hope that the media will not continue to haunt them the way they are doing it now.

I got bored of it really, really fast. I mean, we all know politicians are consummate liars. They are no better than some lawyers. And yet, we tend to fall for whatever promises they give and when they failed to keep their promises, we become disillussioned and started throwing imaginary rotten tomatoes at them. What’s the point?

Does it make the politicians any less of a liar? Nope.

Does it make them keep their promises? Nope.

And yet, many So-po bloggers are still at it, criticising and dissecting everything the politicians say or do. Some even come up with deep analysis good enough for a Masters’ thesis.  Perhaps it is a way for them to release their frustrations over something they have little or absolutely no control over.

I mean, those BN idiots may corrupt and rob us all blind and we can’t do naught to stop them.

As for the Opposition parties, they can’t even stay in the same ship without fighting amongst each other for power, positions and who-knows-what else and there are so many people putting them on pedestals and treating them like demi-Gods.

Puh-lez.

It seems that no matter how much I rant about them idiots, it’s not going to change a single thing AT ALL. So, why bother? I have better things to do.And So-po blogs practically don’t make money. In fact, it’s a waste of time and energy.

Okay, so, I may be money-faced but heck, I got into blogging with two main motives. One is to rant and release steam over ridiculous and annoying stuffs and another is to earn a few bucks outta it. Of course, this blog was never meant to earn money. It’s more like a sounding board than anything.

Still, I have given up. There is absolutely no point blogging about those darn politicians. And I wonder why some people could go on and on with it. What’s the fun in blogging about the same people over and over and over and over and over and over and over again? After awhile, they just sound like some broken recorder going over and over and over and over and over about the same thing.

So, I will stay away from political talk for awhile and focus on other stuffs like what would I do with a million ringgit and stuffs like that.

What with all that paranoia about what language we learn in school and how it can somehow affect our nationalism if we learn any other language is a proven science. Think about it. If we learn too much foreign language like English, we’d be expose to the whole wide world of evil, evil English blogs.

That’s not good.

It’s better that our students not speak a word of English and can only speak in BM and a smattering of our mother tongues is good enough. But then, why the heck do we need to learn English when the BM that are being used nowadays practically cannibalised English?

Case in point:

agensi

polis

innovasi

demonstrasi

and many more of such words. In fact, there is even a point where I became confused as to the right spelling of a word because it has been cannibalised into BM.

So, yay, good for you for turning our younger generation into a bunch of guinea pigs where at one point, you decide they learn Maths and Science in English and at another point, they learn it in BM or whatever language but not English.

How brilliant.

Never mind that by the time they reach Form Six, they will probably flunk out because Science and Maths in Form Six is in English.

Never mind that their Science will probably suck and their spelling of scientific terms will all be in cannibalised forms that they probably won’t be able to spell hydrochloric sulfide molecule but spell it as hydroklorik sulfida molekul or something like that.

What matters is that the bahasa kebangsaan must be protected at all costs. The students must be dumbed down at all costs. The people protected from the evils of English Language at all costs. Cannibalising the English words is the best way to deal with the evil language.

This way, the people who can’t converse, read or write proper English will be stuck in Malaysia for life leading piddly lives thinking the political leaders are the greatest gifts from heaven.

This way, the people with their poor English will not know that:

Our standard of living SUCKS because they won’t even understand the meaning of sucks.

The costs of living here is exhorbitant

The average salary for the general population is way below par

The grass is in fact greener elsewhere because the people are not blinded by empty promises where political leaders become fatter and richer while the people become thinner and poorer

There are vast opportunities out there that could improve our lives

The promise of emphasis on learning English with more teachers is a way to ‘pacify’ those who insists on wanting a better education system

So, you see. English is so evil. It could expose us to the evils of the outside world. It is best that we stick to our narrow minded thinking of studying only in BM and our mother tongues and remain under the coconut shell the government intend to keep us under.

While they are at it, they might as well do away with the education system entirely and only teach BM, basic math, religion and the complete history of Malaysia (with all the unnecessary anti-government events removed as if it never happened). No need for science since it is basically pretty evil considering most of it came from the West.

And who needs education anyway when the preoccupation is more on making the students memorise half truths and learn one language while the actual gaining of knowledge is forgotten and considered unimportant.

Why do we need knowledge at all anyway?

After all, we have always been spoon-fed all those lies, half-truths and whatnots about how great they are, how wonderful they are, how brilliant they are…etc…

Anyway, that’s not the topic I wanted to blog about today. Today, it’s about all the nasty stuff I’ve been reading around the blogs and news and whatnots.

One of it…It is rather disheartening to read people dissing each other over a controversial issue of a group of elderly people being evicted from their lifelong homes. Although it seemed like a religious issue, I see it more as a human issue than anything else. This verse from the Bible was even quoted:

‘For the love of money is the root of all evil’

While this is true, I’d say the real root of all evil is the very basic, evil nature of humans. Just look around you. Why are there wars?

It is for:

Power

Fortune

Religion

And who made it happen? Not money because these are merely thin pieces of printed paper or minted coins. Not God because nobody has seen God going around bombing people, has they?

Yep. It is humans. And it is humans that blame everything on everything but themselves. Let’s see.

A war over some trivial stuff erupts. One group says it is what their God told them. Yeah, sure. Right. As if. While another group says it is because they need to fight for their rights. All this happens because humans themselves want it to happen so they use anything as an excuse to make it happen.

Then, when we talk about the collapse of the brand new stadium. It is an act of God? HAH. Far from it. More like some humans decided to skimp a few ingredients and end up with a collapsed roof.

And the controversial eviction issue in Penang road involving a high placed religious person? Another act of God? Wrong. God don’t need more land for anything. God don’t need land at all. Period. Some say it’s that high placed religious person’s fault. While others defended him like mad. I say it is again another human problem. It could have been handled in a better way but it wasn’t. So, who’s right and who’s wrong? Who knows? To one group, they are right. To another, they are the ones who are right.

So, you see. The root of all evil are humans after all. We all have our differences. We all have our different views. Different tastes. Different perceptions. Different believes. And our main problem is that we chose to fight about our differences most of the time instead of working to understand the other man’s perspective. Or at most, practice tolerance.

That’s why there are wars over religion. Because one refuse to understand the other.

That’s why there are people going all up in arms against people who blog about their own personal opinions/ feelings/ views  that they don’t agree with.

People have long forgotten that we ARE ALL DIFFERENT. And seemed to have forgotten the way to overlook these differences and live their own lives without trying to force others to change to their perception.

One Malaysia? HAH. That’s a real bad joke, if you ask me. How can people be one if we are all infinitely different? How can the people be one when the differences are brimming with hatred and discrimination threatening to boil over and erupt in a terrible war nobody wants to happen but are not willing to prevent?

Really. Human kind only have one similarity. They have red blood. But the red of the blood is never seen while the color of the skin sparks all kinds of fights.

So, yep. The root of all evil is human kind itself. And though there are some saints around, these you can count with one hand. Evil doers? Uncountable.

And no, this is not going to turn into a religious post crap telling people to start praying and repent and all that nonsense. I don’t believe in preaching religion to anyone. So, go forth. go cheat. Go corrupt. Go do evil. Whatever.

I only believe in one thing. One reap what one sow so be careful what you sow in this life because you will definitely face the consequences in future.

First, it seems that it is illegal to wear black.

Then, it is illegal to have PEACEFUL candlelight vigils.

It looks like putting up a canopy is illegal.

If you want to fast for a cause, it is also illegal.

Before soon, everything that has nothing to do with the BullshitNumbskulls will be illegal. So please be careful.

It can soon be illegal for you:

1. To go to the toilet with your friends(as most women do that for safety’s sake especially in public areas) as it can be considered as illegal assembly

2. Gossip with your friends about anything as it could be considered as seditious

3. Blog about current events as it could be punishable by ISA

4. Sneeze aloud in public, especially in front of any of the BullshitNumbskulls, as it could be considered as insulting them and uttering seditious remarks

5. Stand under a tree as it can also be considered as an action to organise a demonstration

6. Swear in public or privately as it can be considered as seditious and inciting hatred

7. Read foreign magazines like National Georgrahic or Times as these are full of pornographic material that could corrupt the mind (that’s what the censors think now…)

8. Say anything negative about the BrainlessNumbskulls as this is highly seditious

9. Sending lame SMS jokes as these are highly seditious

10. Hang out with your friends in public places or even at home as this is considered illegal assembly

That’s not all.

Students who scored excellent results apparently do not meet the criteria for the JPA scholarships and to make it seem more ‘fair’ to all, students will not be allowed to sit for too many subjects in the SPM. Of all the hare-brained hogwash crap I’ve ever heard….

Now, I don’t fully agree to kiasu-ism where students take on a million subjects to get a million As but to limit them from taking as many subjects as they want just so that the JPA scholarship process could be fairer???

WTF?

So, I take it that it probably means that if you have say, 20 As, it is over the limit so JPA can’t give you the scholarship. They have to give it to the fella with 7As instead because he didn’t take as many subjects. Never mind that he had two Cs or even an F. It is important that he did not take too many subjects, not like the fella with the 20 straight As.

But then it is widespread knowledge that the JPA scholarship is not given based on merit. There is no merit system in Malaysia. Period. There was none in the local universities, there was none in the civil service and sure as heck, there was none in the JPA scholarship process. I mean, why must they reward people based on performance?

That is just so outdated. The Malaysia Boleh way is to reward people based on their own skewed judgments. Perhaps they like a certain person’s face. Or his family background. Or maybe they have some Ummm No connections. Who knows eh?

So, yep. Malaysia is indeed an absolutely wonderful country and definitely on the map for it’s extreme Boleh-ism.

TOP TEN MALAYSIA BOLEH THINGS

ONLY IN BOLEHLAND

1. We have a state where there are two menteri besars where one can simply wrest power from the other without following the rule of law.

2. Billions are spent to send a tourist to space and yet nothing could be spent to eradicate poverty in the country.

3. People who work hard to earn their fortunes are blamed and punished for being richer than those who merely sat there and expect handouts for their whole lives.

4. Racism is not only condoned but preached and instilled through various insidious means and then a huge hue and cry publicity stunt is raised to draw attention to the country’s dis-unity with introduction of lame slogans.

5. People can change their race merely by converting their religion.

6. The poor are victimised and robbed while the elite few become richer and pretend to help the poor.

7. While elite groups of lazy people rely on handouts to become richer, the indigenous people who are the real original people of this country are left on the wayside and even have their citizenship questioned.

8. Not every citizen is a citizen but could be labeled as ‘pendatang’ despite having generations of them being born and bred here.

9. Democracy is just a word and is not practiced although widely publicised.

10. People can be detained indefinitely without a fair trial if they so much as sneezed the wrong way about the current administration.

Can you think of more Malaysia Boleh things to add to this list? I can but I am not going to bother. It is just too depressing and tiring.

Mourners beware! If you wear black to a funeral, you may get arrested.

Black is officially ILLEGAL.

I guess the next step for us to go is to dye our hair blonde since most of us are born with black hair. Eh, black is illegal mah, so we must not have black hair too lar.

Hmmm…as I remember, judges and lawyers wear black in the courtroom too, so are they breaking some anti-black clothing law just recently create without even needing Cabinet approval? Eh, Mr Police-who-create-their-own-laws, time you arrest those black garbed lawyers and judges in the courtroom in the whole country.

Seriously, such paranoia are SO stupid.

While the police are too busy removing bickering legislators from the Ipoh state assembly (no prizes for guessing legislators from which party!) and arresting black-clothed people, robbers, snatch thefts and other vicious criminals are left to roam around preying on the public and killing pregnant women.

But then, I guess, robbers, snatch thefts, murderers, rapists and the likes of ‘em are not as dangerous as people dressed in black or quarreling legislators. After all, we never know what these black-garbed people and Men in Black wannabes are capable of. And quarreling legislators may just result in chair throwing which is much, much more dangerous than murderers going on a killing spree.

Of course the live reporting of the ridiculous Hindi movie scene at the Perak state assembly by Anil is a godsend. Or else the public will never know what’s going on in there what with the barricades and the MSM playing it all down.

Just reading the live reports sickens me. The bickering. The fighting. The violence.The stupidity.

Wouldn’t it all be better for everyone else, especially the Perakians, for the DUN to be dissolved and fresh state elections to be called? Sure, it may be a waste of funds but from the looks of things, this debacle will continue on endlessly and there will not be any resolution to it. It is time that Perak has fresh state elections.

The best way is always to let the people decide. Isn’t that what democracy is all about?
