Standing almost in the middle of the 2-lane road was an old Chinese man wearing a RED long-sleeved shirt (with Mandarin collar) & RED pants. He was also holding an old-fashioned wooden walking-stick. Initially, I didn’t notice him, as I was looking at an approaching cab which scarcely paused at the junction, before it drove on, passing between the old man & me. (Normally, these cab-drivers would slow down or even stop to check if I am a potential passenger).

When I subsequently did notice the old man from a distance of ~10m, he was facing away from me & gesturing to the northwest with his walking-stick, as if he was trying to figure out which direction he is supposed to going. He looked alright though, so I continued on my way & glanced back only once to see that he had moved a little (0.5m) towards the direction he was pointing to.

As such, based on your item (3): “They also hate red so they are prone to attack people wearing red clothes.” … might this old man (who was clothed in red from head to toe) be seeking something ? Hmm, if he had seen me, I might have seemed like a spirit … Maybe that’s why the cab-driver drove away in haste — although I’m not sure if it was at the sight of the old man or me. (For info, I was wearing a white shirt & blue pants.)
