It would seem that despite widespread publicity about the forum in all newspapers and online paper, Malaysiakini, there are still stubborn, stupid clueless people who thinks the forum is all about attacking Islam and denying Muslims their rights or whatever. UPDATED at midnight: The police is keeping Anwar Ibrahim locked up for the night and may be presenting him for a remand order at the magistrate’s court on July 17. Looks like the police intended to remand him for 14 days and possibly charged him for ‘committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature’. I swear (not in the name of God, although it is now an in-thing to do so) our country is going to the dogs. No, not the four-legged furry kind. More like the idiotic, moronic, two-legged kind who supposedly have brains and intelligence but these qualities seemed to have disappeared along with sense and sensibility. [...] When I heard that there will be a demonstration near KLCC today, my first thought was that if the police will start water cannoning and tear gassing people at random. After all, nothing had stopped them (the police, not the demonstrators) from acting like ‘licensed’ thugs during protests in the past. |
