What’s the difference between dogs and politicians?

One species, the four-legged kind, is loyal to a fault.
The other species is loyal to only one, themselves.

They are great pets.
Dogs are cute and cuddly.
They listen to commands.
They don’t bark up the wrong tree.
They are men’s (and women) best friend.
They don’t bite the hands that feed them.
